I hired JTHIS to inspect my house in Pocono Country Place. Suesan “Jen” and Mike Therriault did the inspection and gave us a comprehensive easy to read report detailing every component in the house. After we closed, we had a major problem with one of the circuits constantly tripping. Mike came down and found that our microwave was defective and causing the circuit to shut off. I was a little skeptical about hiring someone who was recommended by the Realtors office out of concern that they would sugar coat anything they found wrong with the house. As my wife asked my why I thought they would be willing to bite the hand that feeds them. Mike found problems with the wiring and the electrical panel. Sue found problems with the crawlspace foundation and Jon found issues with the roof and chimney. They documented all their findings with pictures and the seller credited us for the cost of repair. I called JTHIS as a homeowner after I had purchased my home. I was having septic and electrical problems and was now wondering what other problems had been missed by the previous inspector. I didn’t tell them anything other than I wanted a complete inspection of every working component in the house. They found an ungrounded and improperly wired electric panel, an under sized malfunctioning septic system, defective plumbing and structural damage in the roof attic. I wish I had hired them in the first place.
